North & Sur

Roberts starred as Edgar Allan Poe in this original, bilingual two-hander about a meeting across time and space between dead poets. Poe’s ghost talks life, love, and poetry with the soul of the Argentine poet Alfonsina Storni, played in a Jeff Award-winning performance by Kris Tori. “North & Sur” was “Recommended” by the Chicago Reader, Chicago Theatre Review, and Third Coast Review. The Reader’s Kerry Reid called it “a triumphant and intriguing return to live theater” for Water People Theater—its first stage production since the pandemic.
