INDIA: MAHARASHTRA & KERALA

In 2012, as a master’s student at the University of Chicago School of Social Service Administration, Roberts participated in “Poverty, Marginalization, and Challenges to Community Practice in India” at the Tata Institute for Social Sciences in Mumbai. The program combined coursework and fieldwork in Mumbai and the Maharashtrian countryside. Afterward he traveled to the southern state of Kerala. The photographs below were made in Maharashtra and Kerala on Kodak Ektachrome 35mm color reversal film.
